Getting Started

The receiver provides the capability of monitoring activity while data collection is

occurring. The following is a step-by-step instruction of how to access important

receiver status information such as:

• Satellite Tracking

• Position

• Remaining Memory

• Remaining Power

Satellite Tracking

If you wish to monitor the satellites the receiver is tracking, perform the following

steps:

1. From the main menu, press

↑

< 2 seconds until

SURVEY:

MODE

is selected

(mode can be static, kinematic, or RTK Base).

2. With

SURVEY:

MODE

selected, press

↓

>2 seconds.

3. Within the

SURVEY:

MODE

submenu, press

↑

< 2 seconds repeatedly until

STATUS appears on the screen.

4. With

STATUS selected, press

↓

>2 seconds.

5. Within the

STATUS submenu, press

↑

< 2 seconds repeatedly until #USED:**

appears on the screen.

Position

If you wish to view the current position of the receiver, perform the following steps:

1. From the main menu, press

↑

< 2 seconds until

SURVEY:

MODE

is selected.

2. With

SURVEY:

MODE

selected, press

↓

>2 seconds.

3. Within the

SURVEY:

MODE

submenu, press

↑

< 2 seconds repeatedly until

STATUS appears on the screen.

4. With

STATUS selected, press

↓

>2 seconds.

5. Within the

STATUS submenu, press

↑

< 2 seconds repeatedly until

LAT:N/S**º**’**.*****”

LON:E/W**º**’**.*****”

ALT:*****.***

scrolls across the screen.

Remaining Memory

The receiver provides the capability of checking the amount of memory remaining on

the PCMCIA card. To view the remaining memory, perform the following steps:

1. From the main menu, press ↑ < 2 seconds until

SYSINFO is selected.

2. With

SYSINFO selected, press ↓ >2 seconds.
